Age 68, retired Cook County Sherriff; Past National President, Order Sons of Italy; beloved husband of Michele Longo-Baratta; devoted father of Christina (Jim) Duea; cherished grandfather of Benjamin; dear step-father of Nicholas (Trisha) and step-grandfather of Nicholas and Frankie; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 3 – 9 PM at THE ORIGINAL RAGO BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 7751 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago. Tony will be buried privately on Tuesday, Aug. 15 after 10 AM Mass at St. Anthony Church in his hometown of Des Moines, IA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony’s name may be made to Our Lady of Pompeii Shrine, Chicago, IL or St. Anthony’s Church in Des Moines, IA. We've enjoyed his friendship after golf and, of course, his superior play and jocular attitude on the golf course. Those of us that were very close to Tony know that he was a sweet and kind man and will miss him sorely.
