Anthony M. Falduto

Date of Death:
Friday, January 15, 2021

Anthony Michael Falduto, age 81, of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois passed away peacefully in his home on January 15th, 2021. Anthony was the cherished son of the late Carmella (Marra) and late Dominic Falduto.

Anthony graduated from St. Phillip High School in Chicago in 1957. Following his graduation, Anthony built a strong career in both the workplace and civic service. He proudly worked for Pepsi for 38 years where he held multiple executive roles. During this time, he was also on the Executive Board of the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans, former Chairman of the Columbus Day Parade, and UNICO Chicago chapter.

Anthony had a tremendous joy in participating and supporting sports over the years. He served as the president of the Mount Prospect Youth Football Association and was on the board of the Italian American Sports Hall-of-Fame, where he was awarded Man of the Year. Anthony’s love for sports ran deep, as you could often find him on the golf course at the Boulder Ridge Country Club, playing bocce ball at Mazzini Verdi, or in front of his two TVs where he would be watching multiple sports games at a time.

Beyond his love for sports, Anthony enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. This ranged from his joy of singing, where he recorded an album, to spending time outside cutting the grass. However, nothing was greater than Anthony’s love for his family and friends.

Anthony is succeeded in life by his treasured wife of 61 years, Rose Lee (DiFronzo), and his adored family. He was the loving and proud father of Donna (Gregg) Waitkus, Anthony (Jaynie) Falduto, Deborah Falduto, and Michael Petrow. He was the dear grandfather of Dana (Chris) Johnson, Mark Waitkus, Lauren (Drew) McManaman, Melanie Petrow, and Joseph Falduto, and great-grandfather to Jake, Joseph, and Jonathan Johnson. Cherished brother of Donald (Kate) Falduto. Dear brother-in-law of Joseph and the late Frank, John, Ralph, and Peter Difronzo. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and many loyal friends.

Due to the CoVid-19 pandemic, funeral services at Rago Brothers, Chicago, and interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery are private.
