Arnold "Bud" Wendel

Date of Death:
Thursday, April 11, 2019

Bud, beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Edwards) was a man whose life revolved around his family and his true love of 46 years. As a resident of Norridge for 43 years, Bud became dad to many that needed a strong male role model, dinner, a roof over their head and some talk therapy. Bud was the shoulder to lean on; the friend to cry to and the dad on the sidelines cheering you on. Loving father of Melissa (Justin) Muro, Bradley (Erin), Christopher, Jeremy (Jessica), Jessica (Matthew) Fromm and Alex. Proud grandpa of Triston, Joshua, Ava, Christian, Dylan, Porter, Gunnar, Ivy, Guinevere, Gemma, Jack, Kelton, and Kelsie. Dear brother of Kathy and Fred (Lupe). Fond uncle to 11 nieces and nephews.

Donations are being accepted in honor of Bud Wendel for the unbelievable staff at Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care-Foundation that took wonderful care of him in the last stages of his life.

To the Wendel Family, Your daddy fought very long and hard for you all and I know he is so proud of you all for all you have done for him and for yourselves and have accomplished in your lives. I will miss him so very much and am honored to have grew up next to such a great family and had a 2nd family and know Bud. I am so grateful for all of the memories and most recently with him. Please stay #Wendelstrong as he would want you to and know he is out of pain and is now your guardian Angel. Xoxo
