Estelle Almaguer, 82 of Schiller Park passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 7th late afternoon in her own home surrounded by family.
She was born on October 8th, 1940 in Marble Falls Texas, the daughter of John Hernandez and Sulema Huerta. She married Jose Almaguer in the city of Chicago. He preceded her in death on April 2nd 2011.
Estelle was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She leaves behind many wonderful memories. All those that loved her will never forget her dedication, grace and zest for life. Estelle’s career started by her husband Jose pronouncing “ you’re a people person, you should get your real estate license!” So, her passion began as a professional realtor. She loved helping people find their forever homes and creating life long friends. She found a bountiful life in the service of people. Estelle had many friends who she shared memorable times with her loves of music and dancing; and let us not forget her lucky 7’s at the casino with the occasional “Manhattan”. She is loved and will be missed terribly.
Estelle is survived by her two sons Michael (Marilyn) Almaguer, Anthony Almaguer (Steven Burgert) and grandson Maximilian Almaguer.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, son Joseph and two siblings: Hank and David.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association .
