Fausto was the kind of man people naturally gravitated toward — someone everyone relied on, laughed with, and felt comfortable around. He was the kind of person people orbited around, the one everyone looked for in a room. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and father figure to many, he was known lovingly as “Grandpa.” He was the heart of our family, and the person people could always count on.
Whether it meant fixing a car, repairing something around the house, getting up before sunrise to drive his daughter to work, or waking up in the middle of the night to pick her up from late shifts, Fausto never hesitated to show up for the people he loved. When someone was sick, needed help with a hospital visit, or simply needed someone by their side, he was always there.
A lifelong body man who painted cars, Fausto had a gift for fixing things and finding solutions. If something broke, he found a way to make it work — sometimes in his own creative way — but he always got the job done. Family, neighbors, friends, and coworkers all knew he was the person to call when something needed to be solved.
What people loved most about Fausto was his humor and quick wit. He kept everyone laughing with his jokes, his fast comebacks, and sayings like “you guys always BAF (broke as F..k),” reminders about Murphy’s Law, and his belief that “a dollar is a dollar — without a dollar you can’t get to a hundred.”
Fausto also had a way of making people feel comfortable enough to simply sit and talk. He loved conversation and listening just as much as telling stories, and people naturally opened up around him. Many mornings and afternoons were spent sitting with him over a cup of coffee, talking for hours about life, sharing stories, laughing, and solving the world’s problems one conversation at a time.
He also loved to grill, and many of the best family memories were made around those moments — food cooking, people gathered together, laughter in the air, and Fausto at the center of it all.
Because of Fausto, our home was always full. Cousins, friends, and family gathered there every weekend, drawn by his warmth, generosity, and the way he made everyone feel like they belonged. The stories, laughter, and love shared in his memory are a reflection of the life he lived and the countless lives he touched.
The world feels a little quieter without him, but the love and memories he gave us will echo for the rest of our lives.
