
It is with profound sadness that the family of Jerry Luther Golden announces his passing on November 29, 2025, at his home in Brookfield, Illinois. Preceded in death by his loving wife Rose, Jerry was born April 6th, 1940 in Arkansas. Jerry lived a long and meaningful life built on service, family, and dedication to the people he loved. Jerry was the beloved son of Kathleen & Clarence Golden, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his brother Alvin “Buddy” Golden & his sister Gladys Diane Frazer. Though his parents and siblings have gone before him, Jerry carried their memory with him throughout his life, A proud veteran, Jerry served honorably in the United States Navy. His service shaped the discipline, strength, & sense of responsibility that became hallmarks of the man he was. After completing his military service, Jerry continued his hard working path as a dedicated Electrician, a trade in which he took great pride. His craftsmanship & knowledge earned him the respect of many throughout the years. Jerry loved the simple pleasures in life. The comfort of old country music especially the familiar voice of Willie Nelson & he never passed up on an old Western movie. These simple pleasures brought him joy through all stages of his life. Above all else, Jerry’s greatest source of pride and happiness was his family. He was a father, grandfather, and great grandfather whose heart belonged completely to those he loved. His life revolved around time spent with his children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren, moments filled with laughter, stories, & unwavering affection. He carried immense pride in the generations that followed him.. Jerry is survived by his three loving children: Gary Golden, Cindy Golden, and Danielle (Jake) Claybough/Mahoney. his grandchildren Brett (Frankie) Gawel/Mahoney & Brandon Mahoney, as well as his three immensely cherished great grandchildren: Scarlett, Clementine, & August.. Jerry’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, & quiet strength. He will be remembered as a man who worked hard, who loved deeply, His memory lives on in every life he touched, and his spirit remains forever woven into the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, reunited with the family who went before him, and forever watching over the family who will carry his memory forever forward. Those we love never truly leave us. Their laughter echoes in our memories, Their strength lives on in our hearts & their love remains with us forever.
