John was a good guy to my family and I. John was always willing to help anyone who needed it. John had a wonder mother Valerie and father Jack.
John has a sister Jaci and a brother Jeffery and his late Brother LCDR James"Jimbo"Boyle. John was a fun loving guy and always made people laugh. John will rest peacefull with his Brother, Mom & Dad. RIP
John was always a delight and he was so unapologetically himself and that was the best part about him. He had a heart of gold and always made sure the people that he loved and cared about were taken care of and well fed. He will truly be missed.
The one person in the world I wanted to talk to before I leave this planet! But not now! He was the new age Robin Hood! He would take money from Paul to feed Mary but how could you ever fault him? Knew him since he was about ten as he was a lifer at the Norwood Park Fieldhouse. He helped me out so much for so many activities like the time we ran a baseball tournament at the park and he had an idea to sell hot dogs, etc. He made a fortune and he may have been 15 years old? He should have been the Park Supervisor as he knew more about the park than anyone! Got so mad at him one day as him and his buds pulled a fire truck in the pool to see if it would pump water! Coach Mitchell and a teacher maybe by the name of Priebman just loved John and always wanted to know what he was up to? One night all of us got stuck in the Fieldhouse because of a big storm and we were all starving so John had this idea to grab the truck out of the maintenance shack and drive it to Romano's to grab some pizza and food. Thank goodness we did not get stuck! He also hung around a fire house on Peterson I believe. One night the bells go off and he tells me to grab a helmet and a jacket and go for a ride. Took us ten minutes to get to the campus at Loyola but took us an hour to get home as it was a hot summer day and all the coeds were out! Like somebody else said "he would give you the shirt off his back" and how true was that statement? God Bless you John and special thoughts to his brother and sister! One person I will never forget!
John you will be missed. Thx for all the considerations over the past 30 years. I learned more about the politics of the city of Chicago from knowing you. You were one helluva standup guy!! When you said you would do something. You did it!! Rip my friend sorry I missed you at Babes a month ago
Ive known John since 1st grade, always a player but a solid guy who always kept his word. We had alot of fun in the 80’s and early 90’s.
When he went away and heard he was coming back i made sure he could attend my wedding in June of 95, sat at table full of friends and he truly appreciated that we changed are plan to accommodate him.
Kind of lost touch with him over the years would run into them here and there was always good to see him. We always gave each other a hug and that’s how I remember John Boyle
Fyi There’s more to the story, but I’m not here to write a book. Just remember a long time, friend.
See you down the road JB
Our deepest condolences to the family of John. It was an honor to have met such an incredible man with such a huge heart and personality.
Rest in peace.
Our family has known John since he was a kid working at Norwood Park. We remained friends over the years. John has always showed the utmost respect. He always referred to me as "MOM" He will be missed. God Bless John and his Family.
