Mary Agnes Rotrekl (born Flanders), 65, of Westchester, IL passed away after a long battle with cancer at home on June 11, 2022.
Mary was born in Fond du Lac, WI on November 4, 1956 to William and Dorothy (DelMarcelle) Flanders. She married Don Rotrekl on April 25, 1981. They are the proud parents of two sons, Brian Donald Rotrekl of Chicago, IL and Gary Allan Rotrekl of Westchester, IL.
She leaves her husband of 41 years, Donald, Sons, Brian and Gary and brothers, John Flanders and his wife Pam of WI, Robert Flanders and his wife Cathy of PA, Richard Flanders and his wife Wendy of MI, and Charles Flanders and his wife Colleen of CA, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorthy, brothers, James, Anthony, and Joseph Flanders; and sisters, Suzanne and Joann Flanders.
Mary enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards and board games and spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her immense generosity and joy of spirit. She was a faithful member of Christ Church of Oak Brook and La Grange Bible Church.
A memorial service is being planned on July 16, 2022 at 10am at Christ Church of Oak Brook, IL.
Attendants are encouraged to bring a half dozen to dozen of your favorite cookies or baked goods to share with attendees in the memory of Mary who loved baking and making cookies for her friends, family and loved ones.
