Ralph Kostreva

Ralph F Kostreva was born to the late Shirley and Elmer Kostreva in Chicago, IL. Ralph grew up on the northwest side of Chicago, attending Prosser HS. He married Mary Ann Grier in 1967 and they lived together in Chicago until her death in 1999. Ralph served in the army as a helicopter mechanic in the late 1960’s. After leaving the army he went on to become a highly skilled diesel mechanic known in the trucking community for his incredible ability to find and fix the most difficult problems over his 30+ year career before retiring. In 2006 Ralph married Jan Moberg and they moved together to Cherokee, AL.Survived by his wife E. Janice Moberg; his children Ralph Kostreva Jr. (Stacy) and Renee Kostreva; grandchildren Ryan and Nick Kostreva; his step-children James Dobbs and Katherine Taibl (William); step-grandchildren Natalie Leland and William Taibl. Also survived by numerous friends, cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws and outlaws.He was predeceased by his parents, Shirley and Elmer Kostreva, his sibling Vivian Derengowski and his first wife Mary Ann Kostreva (mother of his children Ralph and Renee).Ralph was a kind and loving soul. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
