Sara Olvera was born in Mexico on September 12, 1942. She passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years on December 6, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Sara was a dedicated mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Norma (Hector) Garcia, Sonia (Alfredo) Elizalde, and Mirna (Juan). Sara is also survived by 18 grandchildren (including spouses) and 15 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She was an avid hobbyist and enjoyed knitting, crochet, and making flowers out of clay dough she made herself. She was an amazing cook and loved to teach her family how to make her famous dishes, such as mole, tamales and many others. Her fun spirit, loving soul and beautiful heart touched everyone who she came in contact with and she will be greatly missed by all, especially the family pets who loved to cuddle with her. A private funeral service and burial will take place at Rago Brothers located in Chicago, Illinois.
