
Seymour Herre (98) passed away peacefully on August 27,2023
Born March 4,1925 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Anna. He was the youngest out of 5 siblings, Jeanette, Jerry, Dorothy, and Harold. In 1943 he enlisted in the army and served in Europe and Japan. Ranked as private first class co c 22nd infinity military policeman. On December 1,1944 he received shrapnel wound during the Western Allied Invasion of Germany. For which he was honorably discharged with a purple heart from WWII. He was proud to serve his country.
On October 19, 1952, he married his love of his life, Beverly, and they spend 45 years together. Seymour and Beverly welcomed 3 children together, Marla, Charles, and Ronald. Which led to 5 grandchildren, Monique, Melissa, Brian, Richard, and Matthew. Then had the honor to be a great grandfather to Autumn, Ella, and Owen.
Seymour was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly.
