Francessca first cut my hair some 35 years ago... and she passed me on to her father ! In recent month, now she cuts my hair. My 30-some years of spiritual discussions and hearing of his family brought us both joy and appreciation of our lives. A wonderful legacy Vince leaves. A truly fine gentleman, a role model for his family. Thank you, Vince.

My most sincere condolences to the Catanese familia. "Vince the Barber" was my barber for 34 years. Amazing man! I enjoyed our conversations of gardening, politics and family. Sometimes he would even sing an Italian tune! He loved his clients, best of all he loved his family. Thank you, Vince! Even when I would ask "cut it shorter" during summer months. He made me look like a movie star! Be at peace in your Eternal Rest, my friend. God Bless you, God Bless you family. Grazi, paisan. Ciao for now.

To the Catanese Family, I am very sorry for your loss. Vince was a wonderful man and I feel honored to have known him for the past seven or so years. I first got to know Vince when he was cutting hair at the Touhy Ave. barbershop, and in all sincerity, after my first haircut with Vince, I knew I'd never go to another barber - he was the best barber that I ever had. I enjoyed our early Saturday morning visits - 7:30am every five weeks - and most recently in Francesca's basement. Vince had a special way of making me feel comfortable and relaxed in the chair - always a slow and thoughtful cut, with a shoulder massage, and the hot cream and straight razor to finish. I'd have a cup of coffee and he'd always insist that I take breaks to have a sip of coffee while he was cutting my hair - "..drink your coffee, Mike, it's getting cold.." He'd always be in a good mood, telling stories about Sicily, bragging about his grandkids, and would bring me Maria's cookies and beautiful produce from his garden. I loved getting to know Vince and I will miss him. Rest in Peace, Vince.
