Patricia “Patt” Lindberg (nee Johnson), 93; Wife of the late Earl and mother of the late Bruce. Loving mother of Catherine, Kerry (Susan). Grandmother of Elizabeth Patrice, Samantha Lynn, and Brian Matthew. Great Grandmother of Jonathan and Piper. Loving Aunt of Patt (Alan) Perlman, Donna (Jeff) Cotton.

Preceded in the death of siblings John, Francis, Lorraine, and Jerome.

Patt grew up in Spokane Washington. She came to Chicago one summer to visit her sister and never left. She met her husband and moved their family to Mt. Prospect. Patt found interest in the local drum & bugle corps. She was one of the founders of the Guardsman Color Guard, which eventually transitioned into a co-ed drum corps. As a booster mom for the Cavilers Drum & Bugle Corps, she also published articles for a drum corps magazine . Patt rejoined the workforce in her forties. She worked 28 years in the legal department of UOP in Des Plaines and formed many longtime friendships until her passing. After retiring, she spent much of her time continuing her passion for gardening. Became a long-time volunteer in the fruit and vegetable garden at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Patt managed to travel abroad to England, Italy, and Turkey. She loved watching old musicals and listening to opera. Enjoyed reading. Volunteered with the local “friends of the library”.

We find solace in knowing that Patt lived a long and active life. Her memory will continue to live in our hearts. A graveside service and memorial/luncheon will be planned for spring.
