Vincent J. Caffarello, age 87 of Arlington Heights, Illinois passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. He was born February 25, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph M. and Florence (Benedetto) Caffarello, who preceded him in death. On July 9, 1960, he married Colette Dolan, the girl next door and love of his life.
Vince was an entrepreneur in the cleaning and disaster restoration industry, starting with ServiceMaster in the 1960s and eventually serving as president, CEO and co-owner of Duraclean International, a franchisor in the industry. He was instrumental in opening up international franchises in countries including China, Malaysia, and Mexico.
Vince cherished time spent with family and friends above all else, and was very generous donating his time to his parish, the Boy Scouts of America, and coaching youth football for many winning years.
Vince is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Colette, Daughter Kelley Garby (John), Son Joseph Caffarello (Denise), Grandchildren Christopher Garby (Sarah), Meghan Garby, Vincent Caffarello (Vanessa), Nicole Caffarello, Great Grandchildren Lennox Garby & Lincoln Garby & Sister Mary Gabhart. Vince was preceded in death by his sister Rita Carey.
Visitation Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 9 am at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. A Life Celebration Mass will be held at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
